Justin Young Kim

Biology and Music Double Major

Born and raised in Georgia, I originally intended to pursue a career in English literature. Rationality and a newfound interest in bacteriophage and bacteria/phage population dynamics have overturned those plans. I work in the Levin Lab as a part of the JJX team, and we are currently investigating the mysterious nature of cell colony structure and its effects on antibiotic resistance. Hopefully our work will have a beneficial impact on the medical field.
I also enjoy playing the clarinet and piano and singing. Singing is very difficult however as I have an awkward range that is neither bass, nor tenor. The struggle is real.
